Honey, I've Demystified the Movie Rating System

Before you see a movie with your children, check out kids-in-mind. This site ranks sex, violence, and profanity on a 1-10 scale, gives you a play-by-play of exactly what kind of stuff is going to be portrayed (and when I say play-by-play, I'm not exaggerating. You'll find out everything from if a character is wearing skimpy lingerie, to exactly which curse words will be uttered) Also, it gives you discussion topics and finally, the overall message of the film. There have been many a time when I've felt completely misled by a  rating, or something has just flashed on the screen that completely freaks out my kid, so I think this is one of the more useful things I've come across in a while—knowledge is power!
