Make This: Your Own Portrait Gallery
One day I realized that the walls in my living room were bare. I felt
like I had grown out posters, but was too poor to start buying art.
What to do? Get my kids to make giant portraits, of course. I got them
really, really big canvases and acrylic paint. Then I asked them to
draw a portrait of each other, of each other's cat and to make one
together of me. The only instructions I gave: Fill up the whole
canvas. I left them in the basement for a few hours and voila!
This is Julius's portrait of Oliver
Here's Oliver's Portrait of Julius
Now For Julius's Portrait of Oliver's Cat, Turbo Finally, Oliver's Portrait of Julius's Cat, Gamma (and this is exactly what Gamma looks like) They also did two portraits together, one of me, and then when I got married to Matt, he got one too. Julius also did one of Vladimir Lenin (but he doesn't live here). Anyway, this is a great project for the kids and for solving your home decor issues. P.S. If you like to make art and crafts with your kids, there is no better site than Kids Craft Weekly. I was going to show some of their amazing projects but there were too many to choose from, so please go look for yourself.

I have my kids art framed all over my home. I love this idea, and may just do this over Spring Break with my four kids.

This is a great idea. Julius' portrait of Oliver's cat looks lifelike.
