More Lego Love
In my family Lego rules! I think this little key organizer is about the most perfect example of Lego form meeting Lego function. Before I saw this, I thought that these Lego fridge magnets were the apotheosis of Lego swag:
It maybe hard to tell from this picture but each brick is a mighty fridge magnet. And the great thing is, while you're cooking dinner the kids can play build with them. You can get them both at the Lego store. But if you really want to go all out, visit the mothership LEGOLAND Billund, in Denmark. I took my kids there, and we had the 360 Lego experience by even staying at the Hotel Lego Land. Now this is not some ordinary theme park experience. The hotel is imbued with a an ultra Scandinavian Modern ethos—but with Lego everywhere. Check out the sheets on the beds. Or signage for the rooms:
Because this is Denmark and not America, the hotel thoughtfully gives you a pager for your kid so while he's playing in the hotel Lego pit, you can sit upstairs in the swanky bar and drink a couple of three Tuborgs. I'm just saying that if you love the Lego, you have to go on the pilgrimage. Skal!

Here is where parenting philosophies differ. Judy is upstairs at the bar. I would be downstairs being carted away by the police after rolling naked in the LEGO pit.
Jumping in a LEGO pit is something you're supposed to do before you turn eight, right?

Rolling naked in the LEGO pit sounds uncomfortable to me.
How have I walked this Earth for over 3 decades and never visited a LEGO pit? Seriously, I need to get out more.

I would say a visit to a LEGO PIT is a peek life experience--however a visit to a lego pit followed by a cocktail is a priceless life experience
