BlogHer Rocked!
So I'm back from the amazing BlogHer conference in Chicago and I gotta say, it kicked my butt! There was so much going on and so much to learn—but the best part was meeting some seriously awesome bloggers. (I have about 200 more blogs to read now, though. I'm going to be reading all night, every night!)
IzzyMom, Oh, the Joys, i am bossy, Mom O Matic, and I hosted a party at the W hotel bar for our fellow mommybloggers on Thursday night to kick off the weekend—and get to know everyone. It was so cool to put a face to the name of so many of the people I read every day (ok, so maybe I was also a little starstruck. Nothing like a cocktail to make you brave enough to tell a stranger you're obsessed with them!) We (Parents/Goodyblog) bought the drinks, and the Sk-rt ladies were giving away some cool door prizes. (That's me on the far right—my vanity insists I mention that I'm not that freakishly short, apparently I thought I must hunch down. Totally normal.) Next is the crazy amount of ladies there (I was handing out drink tix and lost count around 120 people) and the very cool view of Navy Pier. Too much fun.
I don't want to bore you with the nitty gritty, and I'm about to pass out anyhow (I'm so lame!) but if you're curious about all the cool stuff that was going, check it out.

What a partayyy! Amanda, you were a doll and an awesome hostess, as well. It was wonderful to meet you and I wish we'd had more time (in a quieter space) to hang out and talk. Thanks so much to you and Judy (I SO WISH YOU WERE THERE, JUDY!!!) and to Goody Blog/Parents Magazine for sponsoring a fabulous evening that will not be soon forgotten!
And a great big shout out to Jessica, Lotta and Bossy for all your hard work. You guys are the best!

Okay not be too gushy, but you guys are way too sweet!! :) It was so exciting to meet you Lotta and Izzy (and Jess and Bossy too), especially after all those emails..haha. I had a blast and I’m glad everyone else did too. Party at BlogHer ’08 anyone? :)

Thanks for the oh, three, four, five? delicious lemondrop martinis. The party was cool. Although I had to retreat into the bathroom corridor with several others to get away from the strobes and bass. But at 38, I can't hack Old Navy either.
You were all great hostesses. It got things off to a grand start.
