Good Deed Monday: Share Holiday Love With Cookies

Did_logo
This is such an awesome idea for using the holiday season as a chance to give happiness to others. The simple concept is to hold a cookie decorating party and then donate the beautiful and yummy creations to a homeless shelter, a battered woman's shelter, a soup kitchen, a nursing home—anywhere that a little joy might go a long way. Lydia of The Perfect Pantry started doing this six years ago, and has created an amazing how-to including a simple cookie recipe so everyone can do it! Check these cookies

Wouldn't this be a great neighborhood, scouting troop, or class activity? Go to Perfect Pantry and you can get recipes and download instruction kit for holding a Drop In and Decorate event of your own. Link thanks to slashfood!

Judy, thanks for helping to spread the word about Drop In & Decorate!

This is an excellent idea! I love turning Christmas around - from "getting" to "giving."

I love this idea! I would love to do this with my kids, and family! Great thing!
