Cute Mittens Alert
I'm a huge mittens fan. Gloves just don't cut it for me, maybe because I grew up in Chicago walking a mile to school on the coldest days of the winter and clinging to every last degree of body heat I could. When I saw these mittens on my Daily Candy email this morning, I had to blog about them. They come complete with an extra mitten-shaped pocket so your child can slip her hand in, hold on, and stay toasty. You can buy them at auto.

These are the most adorable things I have seen! Thanks for sharing!

I feel like you could make something like this for cheap!
You could use inexpensive adult and kids-sized mittens. Just cut one side off of the kids’ mitten. I’d sew around the edges to seal them so they don’t fray before sewing that onto the bigger one. It probably wouldn’t be quite so profesh, but still ridiculously cute. :)

I love the idea of making these. You could probably do it for $5-$10, and also I bet you could do it without cutting the child's mitten in half.
$60 is insanely expensive, but it's a fun idea!

D'oh... Amy you're totally right, you really wouldn't need to cut the kids' mitten in half!

the mittens are cute and a great idea. I agree we should be able to make them, a lot cheaper.

Very cute. I wanted a pair before I saw the price. If you can spend $60 on mittens, you have money to waste.

I totally agree - $60 is a bit ridiculous! Great idea for the crafter in all of us, they are a great inspiration!
