GoodyBlog Goes to BlogHer08

Ok so I know the conference ended Sunday, but it's taken me until now to catch my breath (and catch up on sleep!). For anyone who isn't familiar with BlogHer, it's a huge conference for women bloggers and it's always a blast. This year it was held in San Francisco and more than 1,000 amazing ladies (and a few intrepid dudes) showed up.

On Thursday night, GoodyBlog—along with our friends One Plus Two, Oh, The Joys, The Bloggess, Velveteen Mind, motherbumper, and Sprout—held our second annual mommy blogger party. It was totally crazy! We were so busy handing out swag and drink tickets and meeting our long-lost-bloggy friends that I barely took any pictures, so these meager offerings will have to suffice. I would, however, like to give a big shout-out (and thank you!) to Jawbone, Blurb, and Charmed by Coco Crayon who generously donated awesome door prizes.

From there, the weekend is a serious blur of new faces, old friends, and lots and lots of estrogen. I will not attempt to list all of the amazing people I met, mostly because it would take up about 10 pages. I will say that I was again so impressed with how this community of really different—and really talented—women can come together. The community keynote on Friday where 20 bloggers read their own posts was the most honest, touching, upsetting, uplifting, and memorable experience I've had in a long time. Thank you to everyone who read—I laughed, I cried, I love you!

I met so many amazing bloggers at the conference! It was pure inspiration for two or three days. I was coming up with so many ideas I had to start writing them down to refer back to later. BlogHer09 will probably be even bigger than this year!
