Shoe Fetish

Does it get any cuter than teeny tiny shoes? Here are a couple pairs that are sure to make all the other little piggies at the playground jealous.

Get a Head Start on Summer Shopping

Summer doesn't arrive until June 21st, but fortunately for your wallet, Old Navy doesn't care: They've got tons of warm-weather clothes on sale at up to 50% off. The sale ends tomorrow so you have to act fast, but it's so worth it...their kids' clothes are killing me this season. Some great picks:

Smart Kids' Shoes

InchesWhile doing my usual evening reading of Jezebel yesterday, I spotted a link to these bizarre (yet kind of brilliant?) Inchworm shoes that grow with your kids' feet. All you have to do is push a button on the side of the shoe, pull on the toe, and presto: You've got a larger shoe for your child's growing-bigger-every-second feet. They're not a bargain—the "Stretch" model, the most stylish one (in my opinion anyway), is $79. But I might cough up that much for sneakers my kid wouldn't outgrow 10 minutes after I bought them. What do you think—would you be willing to take a chance on adjustable shoes?

Good Deed Friday: Every T Counts

Womenscarydouglas I love shopping for charity—it's one of the few times I can actually feel good about buying clothes! The latest thing on my shopping wishlist is this Scary Douglas Tee designed by British fashion designer Luella Bartley. You can buy this shirt for $45, and $10 of each sale will be donated to The Global Fund for Children (GFC) as a part of the Every T Counts project at TONIC. Funds will provide free dental care to children through GFC’s grantee partner Fundación Simsa’s Healthy Little Mouths program which operates one-day mobile dental clinics for children in poor neighborhoods in Bogotá, Colombia. If you're not down with the bear, there's three other designs up for grabs that support different charities. So pick up a cute tee, and help out kids in poverty at the same time!

A Cute Cure For Whatever Ails You

Retroicebag_available I smiled when I saw these Retro Ice Bags from Gal Pal (the same company that makes those awesome deodorant mark remover pads). They're just so adorably...retro. You can fill the bag up with ice and cold water to soothe tension headaches, muscle aches and swelling, or pour hot water into it to calm an upset stomach or relax away sinus and joint pain. And like this picture shows, I'm betting the playful patterns (hugs and kisses, teddy bears, ducks) would be a big help when trying to ease the pain your little one feels from a playground bruise.

Check out the threads at spunkysprout.com. They're perfect for little urbanites (or Kingston Rossdale wannabes).

Saddle Shoes For Grownups?

Shoes While we're on the subject of kids' fashion that you should probably never steal for yourself: The other day I saw a very distinguished, super-classy older woman on the street wearing... saddle shoes. She was rocking them with a really well-tailored pair of slacks and it was somehow all very Katherine Hepburn. Ever since, I haven't been able to get the saddle shoes out of my head. I went poking around on the Internets for them (you know, just to see...) and I can only really find them at places like "AnniesPoodleSkirts.com" I think that's a sign. Are saddle shoes another one of those "just don't go (back) there" kinda things? At least until you're the coolest 65-year-old I've ever seen? I think so.
